In a world of turmoil that’s out of control it is necessary to learn to trust in God. When I was a teenager I loved and memorized Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Every time something went right in my life it was because I trusted God, and every time something went wrong it was when I doubted Him. When we are leaning to our own understanding, we are trying to work things out without God, which increases doubt, and shuts God out. We must acknowledge, or recognize God in everything we do. Whenever we are planning something for our family, our children, our finances, our health, and the direction we think we should go, do we bring these things to the Lord, and seek His counsel? If we do, we can rest assured that God will always direct our paths, and He will prosper and bless us in the way that we go.
