Let’s begin by defining the word ‘faithful’. Faithful is being loyal to an idea, a promise, an organization, a friend, a spouse, or God. Paul tells us in 2 Tim 2:2 “and the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others.” Only a faithful person can be trusted. If you give your word to someone and they can count on it, and you keep it, you have proven yourself to be trustworthy. If you break your promise you have proven to be untrustworthy. God is keeping track of how well you keep your word. If you have not been keeping your promises repent deeply before God, and let your life shine with the difference. There’s so many things God expects us to be faithful in. Let’s enumerate a few of them.
…loving everyone, including our enemies.
…praying for God’s will, and praying for God’s kingdom to advance and grow.
…praying for the strength, and spiritual maturity of your brothers and sisters in Christ.
…praying for lost souls, and backsliders to come back to Jesus.
…paying our tithes and giving our offerings.
…helping a brother or sister in need.
…helping a lost person find Christ.
…showing the love of Jesus to the unsaved in practical ways.
…obeying God’s Word in everything.
..repenting daily, if necessary, of every sin and offense to God.
